Plastic Construction Mini Model Kit Candy Toys
In 1987 to tie in with the Machine Robo: Battle Hackers anime series Bandai released a series of four shokugan model kits.
Shokugan are small, inexpensive model kits, toys or other collectables sold with a small piece of candy or chewing gum. While many collectors are familiar with shokugan from famous Japanese confectionary company Kabaya, these were released by the Bandai Co., Ltd. BAU Candy Toy Division. They all came with gum and retailed for 150 Yen.

NOTE the box back includes a note to inform customers that the weapons shown with Drill Crusher and Pro Truck Racer are not included with the kits. Another note states the models shown have been painted for the photographs and the kits aren't coloured the same. It's likely the photos are of prototypes and the accessories were dropped closer to production. Some of the figure decoration appears to be stickers that may also have originally been intended to come with the kits.

Bandai 1987 Japan (c) Pro PLEX - The Pro Plex part is in Japanes (韋プロ・フレックス) and PLEX is the Bandai design company that created the models. I Pro / Wei Pro basically means company in this context; 'Pro' / Production.
