Tractor-Trailer changes to Robo and back again!
Based in Remco's Zybots' Trac, this stationery set includes a stack of loose pages (not sticky notes) and a pen holder.
The box printing shows 'Kwok's' and that likely relates to Chinese toy and game wholesaler Kwok's Winty Manufacturing Ltd. founded in 1993.
While this isn't confirmed as details on Kwok's are very scarce, the early 90's possible release date does line up with the release of Remco's Bibots. A speculative leap could lead us to think that as Trac wasn't reissued for Bibots, maybe the company manufacturing Bibots simply ran off these from old moulds and sold them to Kwok's who'd likely be none the wiser. They could also have been mostly made from old stock Trac parts.
The paint application is excellent, better than first release Trac with both plastic and build quality matching the Remco sold version. This also goes for the foil body and leg stickers that could well have come off the original 80's printed sheets.
Another interesting point is that during Zybots Trac's production run the Remco (c) stamp moved from the robot to the removable container leaving the robot unstamped. This would make it far easier to bootleg the robot for another purpose. This could also be an example of a product Remco has considered but abandoned that found its way into another distributor's hands.
As above, this is 100% speculation. We know it was released post 1985 as the white Trac reissue White Wonder is shown on the side of the box. The white version of this set hasn't been sighted and is unknown if released.
