Notes: Bug Bots are a line of form changing robot to insect toys released by Buddy L late in 1984
While having a similar design and pull-back motor gimmick to Buddy L's Robotron line, Bug Bots were released in paralel under their own title.
The four models were initially released in grey and black plastic with colourful stickers adding highlights. These four were later re-released in vibrant colours, two models issued with and again without the black heads of the previous run offerening further variations.
Cardback text: "On the dark, sunless side of Bugtron, volcanoes erupt, chasms form and quakes tear the planet surface, and extreme heat makes the existence of many life forms impossible; but this is where the strange race of insect robots known as the Bug Bots live. Staying in caves deep within the planet, Bug Bots surface and change to robots to stalk the violent terrain of Bugtron! Collect all the Bug Bots to form your own private Interstellar Bug Collection!"

Loose figure examples showing further colour mix 'n' match combinations have been seen, however with the ease parts can be exchanged only variants so far seen on card are shown below. This doesn't discount other production released or manufacturing mistake colour combinations existing.
